    Collision 7 May 1885 7pm ENE of Spurn 320 miles. Collision with the Hull smack KINGFISHER H1329 broke our bowsprit. porting her helm when she should have left it alone
    Collision July 16th 1886. While fishing in the north Sea, Spurn bearing W by S 270 miles. Tide running to the Northward my vessel heading West. The wind being light. Just before 6pm the Evangeline H1224 of Hull came running from windward & run across our stern damaging his bow rail on the port bow, not hurting us
    Collision 27th Feb 1889 at 10pm. The Grimsby smack Nathen Chapmen GY 478 came down across our bows carried away our bowsprit
    Collision 28/10/1894 North Sea. Collision with Hull smack Amy Isabel H1367. No damage to our vessel
    Colision 13 Sept 1895 1am North Sea. Collision with an unknown smack, breaking our bowsprit
    Collision 06 Feb 1896 North Sea. Tore our mizen And broke our skylight. Collision with the smack Young Tom H1384 of Hull
    Damage 24/Sept /1896 North Sea. Bowsprit broken & loss of fishing gear. Stress of weather.

. . . . . Lost at sea - Whilst attempting to rescue the crew of a dutch vessel a heavy sea turned over their small boat and Charles Chapman was thrown into the sea. The skipper who was also in the boat managed to cling on and threw a life buoy to chapman who was unable to reach it and sank , he was not seen again. The skipper was picked up by his own smack.
